STEP 19 - HEAD TENSION HACKS

HEAD TENSION is no fun for anybody. It comes with stress, not getting enough sleep or drinking enough water, hormonal issues, and sometimes, seemingly, out of the blue.

When it strikes, you want something that will relax and soothe. Check out these Essential Oil ideas:

ROOF OF THE MOUTH

A quick and effective way to get Essential Oils into your system is by putting a drop on your thumb and then pressing your thumb to the roof of your mouth. Essential Oils that are good for this method include Frankincense, Peppermint, and Copaiba.

Since we are all different, it may take some experimenting to find the Essential Oil or oil combination that works for you in this way.

This is a type of internal use, so make sure to always check the label before ingesting. If the oil is suitable for internal use, it will have nutrition and supplement facts listed. If it doesn’t, stick to topical and aromatic use of that oil.

COOLING CLOTHS

Have head tension you just can’t kick? Sometimes what you need is to cool down your body. Essential Oil cooling cloths can be a quick and easy way to do so, as long as you prepare ahead of time.

JOE COOL COOLING CLOTH RECIPE

• Hand towel or washcloth

• Five to ten drops of Essential Oils.*

Soak the hand towel or washcloth in water and wring out so it’s not dripping. Apply Essential Oils. Freeze for at least half an hour. Apply to the back of your neck or your wrists.

*Spearmint, Peppermint, and Eucalyptus Essential Oils are ideal for this recipe.

NOTE: Being prepared is the key to this hack, as you won’t want to wait for the towel to freeze when you are feeling discomfort.
