STEP 7 - KITCHEN HACKS

Our taste buds appreciate the fact that Essential Oils can enhance the flavors of many foods.

But there are also many uses for oils around the KITCHEN that have nothing to do with flavoring food or eating. Here are a couple favorites:

STOVE TOP CLEANER

You use the On Guard Protective Blend Toothpaste a couple times a day for your oral hygiene needs, but did you know it makes an effective cleaner for glass stove tops? Spread a thin layer of this toothpaste on your stove top, let sit for 15 minutes, then scrub with a sponge. Your stove top will look as good as new in no time!

TIP: This can also be an effective cleaner for burners, but you probably want to use a different sponge, as sponges appropriate for burners may scratch glass stove tops.

CLEAN YOUR MICROWAVE WITH LEMON OIL

Microwaves can get gunky and gross fast, and they’re a pain to clean. Instead of fighting with your microwave splatters, put five to ten drops of Lemon Essential Oil in a mug filled with water. Microwave for two minutes. Let sit for a couple minutes, then you can remove the mug and wipe out the microwave with a cloth. It cleans up great and smells fantastic.

LAVENDER FOR KITCHEN OUCHIES

Clumsy in the kitchen? Don’t be embarrassed. Everybody has accidentally touched that hot burner or singed their arm while taking something out of the oven. Keep a bottle of Lavender Essential Oil handy for just such situations.

A couple drops help soothe skin and keep the area clean, due to its calming and cleansing properties. Keep applying to the irritated area several times a day for the next week to help with discomfort as well as the appearance of skin.

QUESTION – HAVE YOU EVER TRIED ANY OF THESE HACKS IN THE KITCHEN?
