STEP 20 - FLOWER HACKS

broken image

Since Essential Oils come from plant parts, it makes sense that these oils would have benefits for other plants, including FLOWERS.

Have you heard of any of these floral hacks?

EXTEND A BOUQUET’S LIFE

Whether it’s Valentine’s Day, your birthday, or an out-of-the-blue “just because” surprise, it’s such a pick-me-up to see (and smell) that beautiful bouquet of flowers sitting on your kitchen table. Floral arrangements tend to wither and die all too fast, but this easy hack can help extend your bouquet’s life.

Put one drop of Tea Tree Essential Oil in your vase’s water. Add an additional drop every couple of days, and you’ll marvel at how long you get to enjoy your flowers! This benefit is likely due to the cleansing properties of this oil, as well as its immune system supporting components.

SCENTING FAKE FLOWERS

That beautiful arrangement of artificial flowers you so painstakingly selected is great at fooling people from a distance, but once guests get up close and personal, the lack of aroma (or worse, the plastic odor) is a dead giveaway.

A drop or two of any of the Floral Oils will not only give the olfactory illusion of real flowers, it will also give off uplifting and/or grounding vibes. Be careful not to overdo it; Floral Oils give new meaning to the word POWERFUL!

Not sure which Essential Oil scent to use? Try one of these:

• Rose

• Jasmine

• Lavender

• Ylang Ylang

• Melissa

• Clary Sage

• Helichrysum

• Geranium

• Roman Chamomile

REVITALIZE LEAVES

And now an Essential Oil hack for either real OR artificial flowers. Put Fractionated Coconut Oil in a glass spray bottle and spritz on plant leaves. It will leave them looking shiny, healthy, and revitalized. Add a couple drops of your favorite Floral Oil and you can combine two hacks with one spray for fake flowers.

QUESTION – WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FLOWER OR FLORAL OIL?
