STEP 8 - COOKING HACKS

While we’re talking about Essential Oil hacks for the kitchen, we can’t forget about COOKING. You probably already know that Essential Oils make delicious additions to holiday baking, grilling, savory sauces, and Italian dishes. Here are a few tips to help make the cooking process easier and more enjoyable.

TOOTHPICK SWIRL

You want to add Cinnamon to your spice cake, but even just one drop is SO strong. It’s a shame you can’t use half a drop. Guess what? You can! How? A life-changing hack called the “toothpick swirl!”

Stick the tip of a toothpick in your Essential Oil bottle, then stir that tip into your ingredient mixture. Essential Oils are extremely condensed and powerful. The toothpick swirl can help when you want to add the subtle flavor of half a drop or even less.

ON GUARD PROTECTIVE BLEND AND ONIONS

Here’s one you might have to try to believe. Then stand in awe (with dry eyes) at finding yet ANOTHER surprising use for Essential Oils.

If you are prone to tears or irritated eyes while cutting onions, the next time a recipe calls for diced onions, smell some ON GUARD PROTECTIVE BLEND first. Either smell it right out of the bottle, put a couple drops on your hands and inhale, or diffuse it near your cooking area. No more crying while cutting onions!

ON GUARD PROTECTIVE BLEND FRUIT WASH

You probably already wash fresh produce before preparing or eating it. It just makes sense to get rid of all the chemicals and pesticides that can be lurking on the outside of your fruit. But being vigilant about your washing practices doesn’t help if the fruit and veggie wash you’re using to clean your food also contains toxins.

For a safe alternative, reach no further than the On Guard Protective Blend Hand Wash that’s already sitting next to your sink. It cleanses hands AND makes an effective fruit wash. And, as you already know, it won’t dry out or irritate your skin while you’re washing.
